Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.2. Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to understand project requirements.3. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to gather information and ensure accurate estimates.4. Use specialized software and tools to prepare and present estimates.5. Evaluate supplier and contractor bids for cost-effectiveness and quality.6. Regularly review and update cost databases and pricing information.7. Monitor industry trends and market fluctuations that might impact cost estimates.8. Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related matters.9. Prepare and present reports to management and clients detailing cost estimates and the basis for calculations.10. Work closely with the project management team to ensure projects stay within budget.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, specifically with HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.3. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.5. Excellent numerical skills and the ability to prepare detailed, accurate estimates.6. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.7. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate supplier and contractor bids for cost-effectiveness and quality.9. Knowledge of industry trends and market fluctuations that might impact cost estimates.10. Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to clients and management.11.
