24th February, 2025 We have partnered with a top integrated architectural and engineering firm in Buffalo, NY looking to add a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer to its team! This is an onsite/full-time/direct hire position Salary range based on experience: $80K- $100K As a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer, you'll specialize in commercial projects that range from groundbreaking new constructions to transformative renovations. Job Duties
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design mechanical systems that meet client needs and exceed industry standards.
  • Prepare construction documents and conduct comprehensive energy modeling and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with energy codes and regulations
  • Design and Develop Plumbing Systems: Create comprehensive plumbing system designs for various building types, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct Site Assessments and Inspections: Perform on-site evaluations to assess existing plumbing conditions, gather data for new designs, and ensure that installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare Technical Documentation: Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and reports related to plumbing systems, facilitating clear communication and guidance for construction teams and clients.
  • Implement Sustainable Design Practices: Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient solutions into plumbing designs, aligning with the firm's commitment to innovative and environmentally responsible building systems engineering
  • Conduct field surveys to assess existing HVAC. Plumbing and fire protection infrastructures
  • Engage in construction administration activities
  • Lead teams through project milestones
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office
  • Understanding of relevant codes and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills
