We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a manufacturing plant environment, responsible for leading mechanical projects that enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency. This role involves planning, executing, and managing mechanical system upgrades, installations, and modifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems, project management expertise, and the ability to optimize plant operations through strategic engineering solutions. Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with hands-on involvement in mechanical projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, production machinery, and plant operations.
  • Proficiency in project planning, execution, and coordination related to mechanical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Experience in equipment design, installation, modification, and process optimization.
  • Ability to interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to variable temperatures and extended periods on the plant floor.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead mechanical projects from conception to completion, including equipment upgrades, system modifications, and new installations.
  • Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with plant operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Maintenance, Engineering) to improve equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance process reliability.
  • Analyze equipment performance and mechanical failures to recommend improvements and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the selection, procurement, and integration of new machinery and mechanical components to enhance production capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations in all project activities.
  • Monitor and coordinate contractor work related to mechanical installations and plant modifications.
  • Support the development of preventive maintenance strategies to increase equipment lifespan and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and project records for reference and compliance.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
