Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Project Manager to lead our commercial HVAC and mechanical systems projects. This role involves overseeing site assessments, managing the design process, and ensuring successful project completion. The ideal candidate will excel in client communication, team development, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Assessments:
  • Visit project sites to review existing mechanical and HVAC equipment.
  • Evaluate the condition of systems and identify deficiencies, non-code compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Client Communication:
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with clients during the approval process for design and implementation phases.
  • Project Design Oversight:
  • Manage the design phase of projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirements.
  • Coordinate with the CAD department to articulate design needs
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee all project stages, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
  • Team Development:
  • Lead efforts to grow the team by hiring and mentoring a new team member within the first year.
  • Foster a culture of professional development and collaboration.
  • Work Distribution:
  • Spend approximately 35-40% of time in the field conducting site visits and assessments.
  • Dedicate 60-65% of time to office-based tasks, including project planning, reporting, and team coordination.

Projects:

  • Focus on commercial projects, including high-profile clients such as JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo.
  • Work primarily on existing building conditions with no involvement in new construction.
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of projects (e.g., 200 projects completed with Chase in 2024).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mechanical systems, HVAC, and project management.
  • Strong ability to assess existing conditions and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
