About Our ClientOur client is a premier self-performing developer headquartered in New York City, with a strong focus on affordable housing development and construction. Their vertically integrated approach allows them to manage projects seamlessly from concept to completion. Currently, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join their team and oversee mechanical systems installations for their diverse portfolio of projects.
Job Description- Oversee all aspects of mechanical systems work, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, from pre-construction to final commissioning.
- Collaborate with design teams to review mechanical plans and ensure feasibility and compliance with project objectives.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality execution of work.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets related to mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address technical challenges, and ensure safety compliance.
- Coordinate with other project managers and stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into the overall construction process.
- Ensure adherence to NYC building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required
- At least 5 years of experience managing mechanical systems for residential or affordable housing construction projects.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with NYC building codes, safety standards, and local construction regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
