Title: Mechanical Test Technician

Location: Columbus, IN (100% onsite)

Interview process: 1 and done virtual interview

Duration: 6 month contract with possible extensions

Targeted Pay: $24-$29/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Must haves:

• Experience with understanding test requirements and test plans
• Experience completing these types of tests: performance-based test, emission-based test, acceleration test, vibration test
• Hands-on experience with mechanical components
• Possess the technical ability to read, evaluate, understand, and communicate data from prints and technical standard documents
• Ability to troubleshoot and come up with countermeasure as problems arise

Plusses:

• Experience with internal combustion testing (gas/fuel powered)
• Fatigue testing

Responsibilities:

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Test Technician to support one of our largest material handling clients in Columbus, Indiana. The technician will work with test engineers to understand the test and complete the test as per the outlined plan on our client's internal combustion forklift trucks. The test technician will maintain detailed test logs and document the day-to-day activity. The technician will update daily activity details to tracking document. The technicians will need to understand test plans and test procedures in order to complete testing. We are looking for backgrounds in mechanical systems.
