Job Summary / Basic Function
The Department of Computing and Engineering Technology in the College of Science, Technology, and Business is seeking qualified applicants to teach mechanics-based courses as a part of the Mechatronics Engineering Technology Bachelor of Science program during the 2023-2024 academic year. Possible courses include lectures in Statics, Dynamics, Fluid Power, and Mechanics of Materials. The Fluid Power course is also accompanied by a laboratory covering pneumatics, hydraulics, and flow in piping. Faculty teach lectures and labs unassisted. This program is ABET-accredited, so cooperating in collecting assessment data is expected. All positions are contingent on enrollment and may be full or part-time depending on departmental needs. Courses will be taught face-to-face at the California campus.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary
Candidates must have a minimum of a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or a closely related field of study, or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of field experience directly using the content of the respective assigned course(s).
