*Job title:* Registered Nurse - Acute Care*Schedule:* Full-time, 72 hours per pay period; three, 12 hour shifts per week-7:00pm to 7:30amWeekend rotation: Every 4th weekend _Weekend shift differential available_Holiday rotation: Paid Holidays*Position Summary:*The Registered Nurse position provides quality, professional, general nursing care to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in the department. Must adapt appropriately to changes in daily assignments, patient status changes, and unit needs.*Position Responsibilities:** Initiate patient/family education plan and discharge needs according to the individualized needs of the patient/family, as prescribed by provider and/or hospital policy.* Delegate to and collaborates with other health team members in planning and providing care based on patient needs.* Learn and maintain skills and equipment competencies as needed.* Safely care for multiple patients. Maintains a safe environment for patients and uses safety precautions appropriately.* Demonstrate understanding and utilization of Universal Precautions, asepsis and infection control procedures.* Ensure proper handling of specimens.* Float to other units as necessary.* Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities.* Attend unit meetings in accordance with unit policy.* Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.* Must hold and maintain nursing license. RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of relocation.* BLS within 1 month of hire, ACLS within 2 years of hire, PALS encouraged within 2 years of hire* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.* Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.* Comprehensive nursing skills and general knowledge of equipment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 per yearMedical Specialty:* Medical-SurgicalPhysical Setting:* Acute careSupplemental Pay:* Overtime payWork Location: In person
