Be a strong member of the caring team to provide compassionate care that highlights the Fairmount culture! ** Current certification to administer medications in PA Personal Care Home (Med Tech) required **Med Tech Position: 16 hr / wks, 6:30am - 2:30pm; includes every Wednesday and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotationPersonal Care Resident Assistant / Med Tech Pay:$20.05 - $21.65 hour, + $1.25 / hr weekend shift differential Summary and Purpose:Core Values: Compassion, Community, Dignity, Integrity and Quality, Teamwork and TrustCreate and support a caring and empathetic working environmentKnow and observe all policies and procedures for Personal CareFollow and support the Fairmount mission vision and valuesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Delivers resident care in accordance with the Resident Assessment and Support Plan (RASP) with additional direction from the Charge Nurse/Charge Med Tech or other supervisory personnel.Assists residents with their activities of daily living. This includes eating, bathing, incontinence care, oral hygiene, dressing, ambulation, and positioning, while observing safety and sanitary precautions and respecting individual needs and preferencesAssists residents with telephone use, processing laundry, stockings, and tidying up their roomAssists with Activities, as neededFollows policies and procedures related to resident careAssists in the dining room by serving drinks, delivering meals and helping residents with meal choicesOrders supplies and ensures accurate charging of supplies to resident using electronic charging systemFollows team member safety policies and proceduresPerforms resident transfers per Fairmount policyReports pertinent information, and/or changes in residents' conditions promptly to the Charge Nurse.Responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout the facility and for following all applicable rules and regulations of federal and state regulatory agencies.Obtains vital signs, weights, intake and output accuratelyPresents each resident with a neat and clean appearanceAssists with admission, transfer, discharge and post-mortem care procedures.Attends meetings as requiredFollows all quality assurance/infection control standards.Accurately documents on the resident's electronic and paper recordAdheres to Corporate Compliance Plan.Complies with HIPAA Privacy standards.Administers medications and completes treatments per physician's orders following the Pharmacy Policy and Procedure ManuPerforms other duties as required by facility needs.Physical and Composure Requirements: The physical activities of this position involve: balancing--constantly; climbing--occasionally; crouching--frequently; fine finger movement--rarely; grasping--frequently; kneeling-- occasionally; lifting--frequently (50 pounds); pulling--frequently; pushing--occasionally; reaching--frequently; repetitive movement--rarely; standing--frequently; stooping--frequently; walking--frequently; sitting--frequently.
