Learn more at SpecialOlympics.org. Position Summary: Special Olympics is looking for someone in the Media Management and Archiving space with a specific focus on A Very Special Christmas (AVSC). Looking for someone with several years of experience in media management to ensure that AVSC's digital and physical assets are properly tracked and archived so they can be enjoyed for decades to come. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Track and determine appropriate storage for digital media assets across the organization from ingest to archive
  • Oversee physical media including housing, organization, and off-site storage coordination
  • Implement and drive organizational strategies and data lifecycle policies
  • Actively monitor post-production and delivery storage usage to ensure adequate space for active assets
  • Own and maintain asset-tracking databases, ensuring up-to-date information
  • Oversee transport of physical archive assets to various vendors (coordinate delivery, track location, and ensure safe return)
  • Research and report on location and availability of archival assets for catalog and active titles
  • In partnership with IT, manage and plan for the ongoing growth of asset management systems
  • Constantly iterate on media asset management practices by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in the space
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • One to three years of experience in media asset management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Being detail orientated
  • Knowledge of digital file formats
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite or other similar products.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of archives preservation requirements, storage needs, and registration procedures for archives.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with film and music archives in various formats; film reels, videotapes, DVDs, CDs, QuickTimes, masters, rushes and other digital files.
