Position: Media Relations Account Coordinator/Account Executive

Location: Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
• Develop and execute strategic media relations plans to maximize coverage and visibility for our clients.
• Create compelling press materials, including press releases, media pitches, and key messaging documents.
• Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and events.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Attend all client meetings with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Keep client folders organized
• Send client leads and media hits in real-time
• Work on and send Client Activity Reports at the end of every month
• Schedule routine media appointments at client establishments
• Attend segments, media interviews, etc. with clients

Qualifications for an ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Media Relations (Food & Beverage/Travel), with a proven track record of securing media placements from pitch to finish.
• Genuine interest in the hospitality industry (with knowledge of Chicago and corresponding markets).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
