Job Summary
- Assist care for patients in the clinic setting.
- Develop long-term, rewarding relationships with a unique subset of patients.
- Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or
- National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or
- National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of the employment and every 3 years thereafter.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional weekend; 80 hours every 2 weeks
