Job Summary

  • Assist care for patients in the clinic setting.
  • Develop long-term, rewarding relationships with a unique subset of patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or
  • National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or
  • National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma.
  • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of the employment and every 3 years thereafter.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional weekend; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $19.25 - $27.00 per hour
