NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS, or WEEKENDS!THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO OUR LOCATIONS AT KEMPSVILLE, AND GREENBRIER. MILEAGE WILL BE REIMBURSED.The Foot and Ankle MA is provided the opportunity for advancement within the group by pursuing Rad Tech-Limited licensure when the course is offered though out each year. Foot & Ankle has a unique MA/RT-Limited position and job title for this role.As a Medical Assistant with Sentara, you will work directly with a doctor conducting phlebotomy (lab), clinical and clerical duties. This position's primary responsibilities include bringing the patients into rooms, taking vitals, verifying patient information, and preparing them for the doctor. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.Qualifications:
  • Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic)required.

Phlebotomy experience preferred, plus experience with electronic medical records. Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic) required. Existing Medical Assistants hired prior to 12/1/14 may obtain the Cert MA or Reg MA certification or obtain the Assessment Based Recognition Order Entry (ABR-OE) prior to 6/30/15.
