Medical Assistant - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility based in Detroit, Michigan. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial-response screening, escort patients to rooms, and prepare them for exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and record vital signs and patient history, assist with examinations, and administer medications and immunizations, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collect and process specimens, including performing phlebotomy and other diagnostic tests.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Improvement Programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining examination and treatment rooms.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification or registration is required.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in Phlebotomy is preferred
• *Position open for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Additional Information:

• Location: Detroit, Michigan
• Job Type: contract to hire.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 09:00 am to 06:00 pm
• Pay Range: $ 18.00 to 20.00/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
