Incumbents assist a nurse or practitioner in patient screening and patient care. Responsibilities may include collection of patient vitals, medications administration to include injections, EKG, phlebotomy, and other delegated medical screening and care tasks. - Conducts vital signs, sample collection for testing, administration of medications, assisting with patient flow, and other duties as assigned.
- Prepares, files and/or retrievesa variety of records, reports, and/or related documentation including patient information from the electronic medical record. Able to document tests and treatments performed.
- Performs clerical support duties including scheduling appointments, following up on patient referrals to ensure services were rendered, updating patient charts, and performing other related duties.
- Maintains inventory, equipment, and supply levels.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not require supervisory responsibilities. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and completion of Medical Assistant, CNA, or equivalent training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Assistance certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement.
