Medical Biller - Addison Group : Job Details

About the Company:

Our client is a growing orthopedic revenue cycle team that manages full-cycle billing for multiple clinics across the region. They are looking for motivated Medical Billing Specialists with strong A/R follow-up experience to join their central billing office (CBO). About the Role:

The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle claims processing, including denials management, insurance follow-up, and appeals resolution. This individual will work closely with team leads and site managers to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve denied claims.
• Manage claims in all aging buckets, including posting, appeals, and ADRs.
• Pursue collections for delinquent accounts as needed.
• Coordinate medical record documentation for appeals and claim resubmissions.
• Communicate accurate patient and billing information to insurance carriers.
• Prepare weekly status reports for management.
• Assist with claims submission, payment posting, and patient account management.
• Work in EPIC work queues (WQs) for A/R follow-up (preferred), but Cerner or Athena experience will be considered.
• Perform other administrative and billing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

2+ years of orthopedic A/R follow-up experience (required). Strong knowledge of both commercial and government A/R. Understanding of insurance benefits, medical terminology, and medical billing. Experience with EPIC work queues (preferred), but Athena or Cerner is acceptable. Comfortable working with various billing software and systems. Stable work history, with recent and relevant managerial references. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (Full-time, on-site).

Pay range and compensation package:

Pay range: $19.00 - $22.50/hr, depending on experience.
