Job Type Full-timeDescriptionCompletes timely and accurate submission of all primary and secondary claims in support of the billing office and all district offices for commercial and Federal lines of business. Performs follow up on unprocessed/adjudicated claims; rejected claims and denied claims. Works with customer service and clinical staff to resolve billing issues; maintains and updates patient demographic and payer information. Posts remittance payment and adjustment transactions; processes credit balances as needed. Requirements
- High School graduate.
- 3 - 5 years previous experience as a medical biller or in a related healthcare administrative position or equivalent experience with a desire to learn.
- Ability to work in a computerized environment and have above average keyboarding skills.
- Working knowledge of billing software a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products and at least basic skills in Excel.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and communicate with Customer service staff in a positive way to resolve client billing issues.
- Ability to analyze data and work processes to strategize for better solutions.
