Medical Device Project CAD Technician - Akkodis : Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a Hybrid Medical Device Project CAD Technician for a 12-month contract position starting in January with a client located in Muscatine, IA. You will work on different parts of a project under the guidance of an engineer. Pay/Salary Range: $25.00/ hr to $30.00/hr ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Hybrid Medical Device Project CAD Technician job responsibilities include: • Use computers to create 2D design - surface modelling, or 3D design Solid modeling • Use surface of modeling to draw a flat representation of the product. • Create a 3D display of a structure or component, then take a 'virtual tour' or 'look inside' a piece of manufacturing machinery to see where improvements could be made. • Use designs to help prepare cost estimates on projects • Produce assembly instructions and maintenance manuals for installation, service and repair technicians. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum high school diploma required. • 5 years experience in CAD • Knowledge of material properties • Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods is a requirement. • 2D design - surface modelling, or 3D design Solid modeling with strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software.
