Job SummaryTo provide accurate, professional medical interpretation for LEP (limited English Proficiency) patients at BMC and affiliated outpatient services.Experience

• Two years preferred, interpreting for people with limited English proficiency, in official or unofficial capacity.
• Can include medical, legal or business translation

Education and Training

• High school diploma required, some college preferred.
• Area Health Education Center Medical Interpreter Training Program course or equivalent.

License, Certification & Registration

• CMI or CHI certification preferred.
• Other Requirements
• Must have a telephone, reliable transportation, and ability to be flexible for on-call coverage, understand role and boundaries of an interpreter.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality policy.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 8 am -4:30 pm
