Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory support functions. Demonstrates clear communicationwith team members to optimize laboratory operations What You Will Do

• Accurately and efficiently performs pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical processes for laboratory testing
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment according to manufacturer's instructions
• Performs and evaluates all required quality control assessments as described in departmental policies and procedures prior to reporting patient results.
• Evaluates results of laboratory tests according to laboratory protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Documents all laboratory activities according to policies and procedures
• Maintains and demonstrates competency assessment in assigned area
• Takes responsibility for self-development
• Completes all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines

Qualifications:Education

• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; Requirement specific in CLIA '88 to perform high complexity testing. (Required) or
• Bachelor's Degree Other (Required) and
• Associate's Degree Associates Degree in clinical laboratory science and certification by ASCP or equivalent are also acceptable (Required)
• ASCP certification preferred

Work Experience

• less than 1 year Entry level (Step increase upon successful completion of competencies after training is complete - 6 months minimum) (Required)
