Medical Laboratory Technician - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician/ MLS/ CLS to support our client's medical facility based in Portland, OR. This is a full-time contract of 6 months with possibilities of extension or conversion to permanent opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position: Medical Laboratory Technician/ MLS/ CLS

Shift: Evening Shift: 5pm - 1:30 am Mon- Fri & rotating weekends/ Night Shift: 11 pm - 7:30 am Mon - Fri; rotating weekend

Duration: 6+ months Contract with possibilities of extension/ Conversion to full time

Location: Portland, OR

Pay Range: $30 - $43/ hour W2 without the benefits

Note:

• ASCP or AMT certified candidates required - open to eligible if candidates get it within 6 months.
• Micro lab MLT, Experience with culture reading experience required.
• Will be required to work in a Micro lab department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionality and accurate results.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing procedures and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls to ensure consistency and accuracy in test results.
• Report accurate and timely test results to facilitate quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Associates of Science in Medical Technology OR Bachelor's degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
