Medical (Phlebotomist) Coordinator - Part Time Days - Nyack Hospital : Job Details

Montefiore Nyack's Hematology Oncology department has an opening for a Part Time Medical Coordinator (Phlebotomist) to Assist Physicians and Nurses with performing a high volume of blood draws for patients in the medical office located in the hospital. Under the direct supervision of management is assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures and routine tasks essential for upkeep of the Hematology Oncology Center. Successful completion of Medical Assistant program preferred. A National Healthcareer Association certification (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) in Phlebotomy required. 2. Experience: Two to three years of progressive experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist drawing bloods in a fast paced medical office or hospital setting preferred. Recent blood drawing work experience in a fast pace environment in Phlebotomy required. 3. Training/Certification: BLS certified. NHA Certification. Demonstrated work experience and competence in Phlebotomy. 4. Licensure: N/A 5. Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
