ENT and Allergy Associates New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Medical Quality Specialist.SummaryThe Medical Quality Specialist works closely with the Senior Director of Quality, the Risk Management Department, and the Leadership team to assist in establishing, implementing, and supporting programs and processes related to quality improvement and performance. In collaboration with the Senior Director of Quality and the Risk Management and Compliance teams, the Medical Quality Assurance Specialist participates in incident and patient care quality investigations and resolutions and assists in developing reporting tools and strategies for identifying the greatest opportunity for performance improvement at ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA). Essential responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
  • Collaborates with the Senior Director of Quality in the planning, implementation, and optimization of quality improvement programs.
  • Works with Senior Director of Quality to develop one framework to capture ENTA's internal quality programs and initiatives for tracking/monitoring and improvement planning.
  • Assists in establishing performance measures and key performance indicators (KPI) to monitor the effectiveness of quality processes.
  • Works with Senior Director, physician leadership and other departments to implement and monitor processes to enhance quality of care and service.
  • Conducts quarterly and focused chart audits as needed to support the Medical Management and Registry Committees.
  • Helps resolve escalated patient care complaints and grievances, including writing response letters as needed.
  • Prepares reports as needed (PAQ/Task reports).
  • Conducts and manages special projects as assigned.
  • Helps develop policies and procedures that outline the standards and processes for delivering quality care at ENTA.
  • Reviews, updates, and initiates policies as needed.
  • Assists with regularly reviewing the effectiveness of ENTA's quality programs and make recommendations as needed to address emerging issues and changing patient and organizational needs to strive for excellence in delivering high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Professional Nurse with a minimum of three years nursing experience (or equivalent clinical background).
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance/Improvement.
  • Previous management experience or Patient Experience preferred.
  • Full-time in the office presence required (ENTA Corporate office, Tarrytown NY).
