Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Acute Care position Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. This is a 13-week contract offering guaranteed hours and rotating shifts (mostly nights). Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and ensure proper patient treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and medical staff to deliver comprehensive care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual needs.
• Communicate with patients and their families about care plans, progress, and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Assist with the coordination of patient discharges and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient data as necessary.

Qualifications:

• License/Certification: Active RN License in Massachusetts (required)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical/Surgical acute care or related field preferred.
• Vaccinations: Must be up-to-date with COVID-19 and Flu vaccines.
• Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong communication and organizational skills.
