Medicare Billing Specialist. Full Time - Friendship Village : Job Details

The Third-Party Billing Specialist is responsible for generating Medicare and Medicare Advantage Part A claims in collaboration with the Friendship Village's Skilled Nursing facilities to assure Skilled Nursing billing is done timely and accurately.

Experience in a Skilled Nursing facility is required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Compiles and inputs data for skilled & Medicaid residents at all FV campuses.
• Inputs data for HMO, Medicaid, Secondary Insurance, Medicare Part A & B claims for both campuses.
• Generates Medicare and Medicare Advantage Part B therapy claims
• Bills Medicaid claims using Missouri HealthNet Portal
• Uses Medicare DDE and Clearinghouse for billing Medicare Part A and B claims.
• Reviews and corrects UB04's before and after triple check meetings.
• Monitors Aging reports and follows up on overdue accounts.
• Responsible for monitoring Third Party cash postings.
• Processes necessary reports to support billed claims. Maintains backup and support documents.
• Maintains computer files and data in an organized fashion.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• · High School diploma or equivalent required.
• · Minimum 5 years relevant Third-Party claims billing experience.
• · Accounting experience preferred.
• · Great attention to detail
• · Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• · Demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
• · Maintain strict confidentiality in working around confidential or sensitive materials or conversations.
• · Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• · Work collaboratively in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members.
