St. Michael's Country Day School has long been known for its exceptional reputation for preparing students for success in secondary school and beyond. Our core academic program is engaging, future focused and connected to the world beyond the school walls. Our arts program is unmatched on Aquidneck Island and provides a full range of opportunities for students to discover and develop their artistic skills. Our one of a kind innovation lab program, which begins in the early years, develops important design-build skills and the confidence and ability to use a range of tools. Our foreign language program, which begins at age two, takes full advantage of the elasticity of the brain in the early years. These are just a few highlights of this unique and impressive school.

Supporting this robust school day program is an emphasis on knowing each individual learner and attending to the social emotional needs of our students. From the early years up through grade eight, students at our school benefit from small class sizes and special efforts on the part of teachers to create a supportive environment that allows each individual to be themselves. We believe a caring learning environment - where students feel the support of both their teachers and their peers – is foundational to an excellent educational experience.
