Job Location : New Rochelle,NY, USA
Position Purpose: The Event Planner require the ability to communicate well with staff and venues. The Planner must pay careful attention to detail using information from several sources to plan a successful event.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with internal staff, clients, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to senior executives, government officials, and industry leaders throughout the planning process
* Hospitality management, including coordinating hotels, restaurants/ catering, transportation and food
* Locate restaurants, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help staff make decisions about event design
* Establishing new vendor relationships
* Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
* Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
* Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day
* Some evenings required
* Reviewing bills and approving payments
Qualifications:
* Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
* Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer Proven experience as an Events Planner or Organizer
* Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (meetings, parties, corporate events)
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently
* MS Office proficiency
* Willing to submit references from previous clients
Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
* The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
