As a Member Relations Representative, you will provide assistance to our members who are delinquent on their accounts with appropriate follow-up. You'll work to prep and ensure accurate, and prompt paperwork associated with bankruptcy, garnishments, and small claims actions that are needed to the credit union's interests. You'll work with repo companies to legally secure cars with defaulted loans and arrange for the final disposition of the collateral. You'll follow up with third-party collections and review delinquent accounts for potential charge-off. You'll prepare monthly reports for the Board of Directors, monitor accounts to ensure receipt of insurance payment and recommend the closure of accounts, where appropriate. This is a busy, fast-paced position that requires teamwork, confidence, and the ability to own your responsibilities without constant oversight. And while this position is back-office, we'll still expect you to project the professional image, tact and focus on service that our members expect of employees handling delicate financial situations.

What you will need to be successful:
* High school diploma or GED
* Good with Word and Excel
* Requires excellent attention to detail, customer service and telephone skills
* Knowledge of, or willingness to quickly learn, collection and bankruptcy laws, Fair Credit Reporting Act and federal/state lending laws
* 1 -3 years collection experience, preferred

Compensation: $23/hr + bonus
