Heartland Credit Union is looking for a full-time Member Solutions Specialist to provide quality and efficient customer service by conducting outreach calls daily to current and potential members regarding current promotions, products and services. The successful candidate will be positive, friendly and motivated and help members with their full financial picture including opening new accounts, cross-selling HCU products and services, interviewing members regarding loan and credit card applications, conducting sales calls, and performing other operational branch duties.

WORK DETAILS
The successful candidate can work from either of our consumer lending locations, Hutchinson at 4000 N. Monroe or Wichita at 3777 N. Maize Rd.
Outbound Calling Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm, No Weekends or Evenings!
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MEMBER SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
* Guides members through the borrowing processes from education/pre?qualification to receiving, reviewing and processing the loan application for consumer (auto, personal, and consolidation), home equity, credit card, and overdraft account loans.
* Meet with loan applicants to evaluate and verify loan applications and credit criteria. Computes debt ratios, verifies employment, income and determines collateral.
* Conducts outreach calls to current and potential members regarding current promotions, products and services.
* Presents and explains HCU services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs including opening new accounts (checking, savings, IRA's, etc.), renewing and redeeming certificate accounts.
* Expands member base through consultative sales techniques and referrals.
* Compares and evaluates possible products and services in order to provide product and service recommendations to best meet our members needs and financial circumstances.
* Expected to meet assigned monthly goals for deposits, loans, loan protection products, memberships, new checking accounts, referrals and debit and/or credit cards.
* Actively participate and represent Heartland in various community, civic, and professional organizations.
* Provides superior service to our members.
* Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
* Cross-sells credit union products and services.
* Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
* Proactively supports and advances HCU's culture and brand.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBER SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST
* High school graduate; two-year college degree preferred.
* Minimum two years related experience.
* Previous experience with full-service financial institution and sales preferred.
* Solid written, verbal and public relation skills.
* Solid time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Proficient in MS Office programs.
* Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Will be subject to the required registration process, which includes fingerprinting and a criminal background screening. Fees are paid for by Heartland Credit Union.
* Will become a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) through CUNA's FiCEP program. Certification fees are paid for by Heartland Credit Union.
* Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
* Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
