The Fishers Community Center is scheduled to open Fall 2025. The Membership Manager of our Community Center will help us build and lead a dynamic membership staff team, establish team culture, develop membership policies and protocols, and open this vibrant new facility with excellence. The 105,000 sq. ft. Fishers Community Center will offer free amenities to the community including a walking track, large indoor playground, and access to Sahm's Community Caf. It will also have a paid membership model that allows access to 2 indoor pools (including a 2-story waterslide), 3 athletic gyms, a large fitness floor, 2 group exercise studios, 1 cycle studio, childcare, and much more. The Community Center will also feature a 3-acre Dog Park located on the campus. Examples of Duties
- Lead the Community Center membership program including recruitment, retention, and growth strategy.
- Coordinate with stakeholders of the Community Center for membership marketing and promotions including materials development, targeted social media strategies, and events.
- Analyzes membership metrics to evaluate the ROI of efforts and develop a sustainable and successful membership program.
- Prepare short and long-range plans to improve membership based on the ever-changing needs and interests of the community served.
- Maintain and organize Community Center membership database and roster, including all relevant Member information required.
- Develop and execute established procedures for processing prospective Member applications and ensures outreach to interested parties.
- Develop, implement, and manage the membership of the Dog Park
- Administer and monitor budgets for related work areas. Ensure staff adherence to established goals, priorities, policies and procedures.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff service delivery providing guidance and coaching to front-line teams, and responds to difficult citizen communication.
- Cultivate and advance a positive team environment by leading by example.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, wellness, business, or related field from an accredited college or university;
- Three (3) or more year of progressively responsible experience in leadership with a health and wellness business, recreational programing and/or membership-based facility;
- Any combination equivalent to previously mentioned experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be considered;
- Must have valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive a city vehicle;
- Requires solid experience in principles and best practices used in membership administration;
- Requires the ability to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate membership programs;
- Must have experience in budget administration including revenue and expense forecasting;
- Requires familiarity with public relations and marketing practices, principles, and methods;
- Requires ability to use MS Office and other software, systems, and office equipment;
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and background noises is required;
- Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
