Position Title: Membership and Outreach Lead
Reports To: Coordinator of Reservations, Membership, and Outreach
Description: Membership and Outreach Leads must be dynamic, problem-solving Penn State students with the ability to uphold Campus Recreation policies and procedures. They must have the ability to excel in customer service and engage in outreach activities. Leads must have the knowledge and skills to answer questions about Penn State Campus Recreation, promote programs and services, and train and lead other student employees within the Membership and Outreach area.
Responsibilities- Assist with preparation for department outreach events.
- Participate in various Campus Recreation outreach events across the Penn State campus, including tabling events and seminar presentations.
- Promote Penn State Campus Recreation memberships, programs, and services to the community.
- Conduct new hire trainings and shadow shifts.
- Conduct locker room locker checks at the Intramural Building and McCoy Natatorium.
- Managing and executing locker expirations and clean outs.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Personal/Professional Development and Responsibilities- Attend all staff meetings.
- Be receptive to personal and professional development.
- Balance time commitments.
- Give and receive performance feedback.
- Recognize limitations and work to improve.
- To function as a contributing member of the Campus Recreation team.

- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 100 hours worked as a Membership and Outreach Attendant.
- Ability to positively interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations.
Working Conditions- Average of 2-4 hours worked per week.
- Work will take place on the University Park Campus and in the State College Community.
- Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that will include mornings, evening, weekends, and University breaks.
