Membership Records Assistant # 1156Minimum starting salary $31,230.44 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Summary function:Provides assistance to Bar members and relating to member information and membership fees. Performs related accounting functions.Required minimum education: High School Diploma (or its equivalency)Required minimum professional work experience:One to three (1-3) years of bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or business experience. Customer service experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Answers telephone calls and emails providing information on Bar members internally and externally. Assists callers with confirming members' contact information and their membership status. Assists Bar members and the public in using the storefront portion of the Florida Bar's website. Maintains member records by updating contact information. Update's member statuses i.e., judge codes, reinstatements, and deceased. Processes routine correspondence and documents communication with members/customers in Salesforce to enhance customer service.Processes membership fees. Process public records requests by coordinating such request with the Information Technology Dept. and corresponds with the requestor. Prepares affidavits regarding member records, as requested. Scan and upload fee statements and related documents. Perform quality assurance on scanned images. Resolve all upload errors. Interprets and explains Rules Regulating the Florida Bar related to membership classifications, fees, and contact information. Proactively considers and recommends procedural changes as warranted and assists with updating the Membership Records desk manuals. Assists with special projects when assigned.Knowledge:-Database input, computer software and ability to effectively conduct Internet searches-Professional office procedures and practices-Professional telephone etiquette-Basic accounting practicesSkills:-MS Word-MS Excel-MS Outlook-Acrobat Adobe Pro-Databases and other computer programs-Data entry (with a minimum of typing 35 cwpm)-Written communication and business etiquette-Professional customer serviceAbilities:-Coordinate multiple tasks or projects-Interpret policies and procedures-Learn The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar-Communicate eff effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing including being able to use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.-Follow written and oral instructions-Demonstrate initiative in group projects and individual settings-Tactfully manage difficult situations-Operate well under pressure and as a member of a team-Consistently demonstrate a service-oriented attitude-Use judgment-Type 35 cwpm (correct words per minute)Please notify HR, in advance, if you need reasonable accommodations to participate in the employment process.EOE.
