Buchanan Place is seeking a Dynamic and Highly Motivated Memory Care Director.Come be part of a highly motivated and caring team of professional caregivers!Great Health - Dental - Vision Benefits, PTO, Wonderful Pay, and Fantastic Company Culture!Apply Today!SUMMARY: The Memory Care Program Director provides individualized, quality resident care underthe direction of the Executive Director by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired. Other duties as assigned.1. Provide daily direct care to residents, which includes but is not limited to: developing resident's daily, weeklyand monthly schedules, manages or participants in resident's activities including the development of an activityprogram. May also assist with escorting residents to meals, responding to emergencies and call bells in a timelymanner. Manages the function of timely charting, documentation and record keeping as well as assisting withthe admission process with family, staff and the resident.2. Observe and redirect staff daily practices through one on one education of memory care diseases,interpretation of program policy and procedures, and provide teaching as needed. Lead and assist in thesurvey process.3. Assists with administrative functions and maintains proper documentation as directed. This includes, but isnot limited to: creating staff calendars, memos, daily assignment sheets, resident files, conducting facility tours,census growth and supporting the Director, as needed. Interact with residents, family members, legalrepresentatives and surrogates to answer questions or resolve concerns. Makes prompt attempts to resolve allresident grievances, seeking consultation or assistance from other departments or administration as needed.4. Provides regular dementia specific in-service to Memory Care, facility staff and develop a support programfor family members. Develop and maintain a Family Resource Center on-site. Maintains policies, proceduresand compliance of policies and procedures.5. As directed, assists with updating and implementing policies and procedures to reflect the philosophy of thefacility, professional standards, and legal requirements. Provides performance evaluations for Memory Carestaff, as well as coaching, mentoring and disciplinary actions for Memory Care staff.6. Maintains and updates current skills and knowledge through continuing education and in-service programs.7. Assists with marketing efforts to include making marketing calls, public speaking and outreach efforts togrow census.8. Carries out responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations, and with companyphilosophy, policies and procedures.9. Must speak, understand and read the English language to the extent necessary to safely and properly carefor residents.10. Excellent interpersonal skills with positive attitude and a high level of energy and enthusiasm. Ability toorganize, document, and implement detailed programs. Good verbal and written communication skills. Exhibitand maintain our mission, vision and service standards.11. This position requires standing, sitting, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds or more, bending,climbing, twisting upper body, walking, running, carrying, listening, talking, use of telephone, and exposure tomedical equipment and persons with risk of illness.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Must be Registered Nurse, RNCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Driver s license per position requirements.#CMHP
