Location: NYC Salary: $80-$90k KITH is seeking a Men's Designer to join the team. This person will report to the Senior Design Director for Men's. Primary Responsibilities: • Collaborates with the Senior Design Director each season to research, develop and design collections • Helps to manage the design process from initial sketch to production • Responsible for the cohesiveness of assigned product categories • Help execute tasks/projects with critical attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet all department deadlines. • Responsible for creating tech packs with detailed specifications that include construction details, and trim/fabric information • Accurately sizes graphic and textiles according to designs • Updates sketches and BOMs as necessary • Actively participates and takes detailed notes in meetings • Communicates with overseas and internal partners on updates as changes occur in the assortment • Ensures top quality of all category products Special Projects/Tasks: • Attend all fittings • Partner with Tech Design for anything fit related in seasonal development Experience: • 5-7 years of experience working in the apparel industry • Must be comfortable in working on all product categories: wovens, knits & sweaters • Quick and strong Illustrator sketching skills • Strong knowledge of garment construction & fabrics Skills: • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects • Must be flexible to meet demands of deadlines. • Exceptionally high taste level • Good organizational, time management and communication Established in 2011, Kith is a leading lifestyle brand and progressive retail concept that's celebrated globally for its ability to tell stories, evoke nostalgia, and connect product to the passion it's woven with.
