Realism Is Loyalty is seeking a Clinical Mental Health Professional for a versatile role. Specifically, the role includes conducting counseling sessions, crisis interventions, and maintaining effective client communication. Additionally, the candidate will have a focus on professional growth, collaborate with community partners, and maintain state licensing and education requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters Degree in social work or related field
- State License (LMSW / LLMSW / LPC etc.) required
- Previous experience working with children and families
- Valid Michigan Driver's License, reliable transportation, proof of valid auto insurance
- Successful background check (felony must be at least 2-years-old with successful completion of probation/parole)
- MDHHS Central Registry Clearance

Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Attend regular supervision meetings with the Lead Mental Health Clinician
- Manage client meeting scheduling and communicate schedules accurately to relevant parties
- Attend monthly all-staff meetings
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Executive Directors
- Adhere to all Realism Is Loyalty policies, including those concerning client confidentiality
- Document case notes and program data for each contact with youth and families in the Credible system
- Daily document all provided services and required activities
- Offer notes and verbal feedback about youth to the program team, case manager, and Lead Mental Health Clinician as needed
CLINICAL
- Conduct Individual and Family counseling sessions
- Develop treatment plans emphasizing adolescent and family engagement
- Manage crisis interventions for clinical issues
- Communicate with clients, families, and external stakeholders
- Perform biopsychosocial assessments within contractual timeframes
- Complete all required paperwork, including licenses, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Provide individual, family, and multi-systems therapy
- Monitor treatment service quality and adequacy
- Continually assess client needs and make appropriate referrals
- Provide therapeutic interventions for recovery in substance use cases
OTHER
- Attend monthly team meetings for idea sharing, feedback, and department planning
- Represent RIL with integrity and collegiality when dealing with community partners and referring organizations
- Commit to personal professional growth, including educational opportunities and resources
- Utilize agency-provided resources for skills and clinical expertise development
- Collaborate with peer mentors to enhance counseling and administrative skills
- Stay current with state licensing and continuing education requirements
