Job Title: Mental Health TherapistProgram / Department: OutpatientReports To: Clinical DirectorEmployment Status: Full-TimeQualified Services: Outpatient Therapy, TBS, PSR, CPST, MHDTPHI Security: Has access to clinical records subject to the limitations as noted in GuidingPoint Policies and Procedures pertaining to “Routine Uses and Disclosures of Protected Health Information”. Access is limited to activities as required by job duties and responsibilities. Personnel will disclose immediately to his/her supervisor any potential conflict-of- interest pertaining to clients assigned. No PHI record will be accessible to the case manager that creates a potential conflict-of-interest as defined in applicable laws and regulations and GuidingPoint policies and procedures (e.g. records of friends, neighbors and relatives without the proper authorization of the client to access those records).SUMMARY: This position is designed to provide General services that include assessment activities, medical activities, and counseling and therapy activities as defined in Ohio Rule 5122-29-03. The Mental Health Therapist will provide comprehensive behavioral health counseling, assessments, as well as other therapeutic services including clinical case management and consultation for children. Assists clients and families with skill development, anger management, managing mental, emotional and behavioral symptomatology. The therapist will work closely with students, teachers, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders to support the emotional and psychological well-being of students. The Mental Health Therapist commits a designated number of hours per week, aligned with caseload demands. Direct provider of professional clinical services as authorized by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) including diagnostic assessment, individual and/or group psychotherapy, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders under the direct supervision of an independently licensed clinician. Ensures all documentation is submitted in a timely manner prior to deadlines determined by the Clinical Director.Supervision and Team Meetings: Prepares for and attends all required meetings, workshops, and seminars. Participates in and completes ongoing training on support services to enhance skill level and promote agency mission and goals.Essential Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrates commitment to community support program philosophy and standards, fostering environments conducive to recovery for persons served. Possesses working knowledge of available community resources and effectively manages caseloads. Capable of working with clients with diverse needs, including specialized services for the elderly, aggressive, dependent care, dually diagnosed, etc. Maintains agency standards of productivity and delivers expected client outcomes while effectively managing time and communicating with service providers and individuals at various socio-economic levels.Code of Ethics and Conduct: Represents GuidingPoint LLC in both public and private settings during service delivery, maintaining professionalism and upholding the organization's values and reputation. Serves as a visible and accessible representative of GuidingPoint LLC within the community, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and promoting collaboration and partnerships. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of GuidingPoint LLC's mission, services, and policies, effectively communicating with persons served, personnel, and stakeholders.
