Our strong belief and commitment to diversity shows not just through our work with supported persons, but is integral to the building of a strong staff that reflects the communities we serve.TheMental Health Therapist (Clinician) working in the Residential programs is responsible for providing an array of direct clinical services for youth across multiple Rising Ground residential programs, including the Residential Treatment Center (RTC), Non-Secure Programs (NSP) in the Justice for Youth and Families division, and Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP). Overall responsibilities include screening, diagnosis, treatment and guidance under the Children & Family Treatment and Support Services Guidelines. The clinician will be expected to provide both in person and virtual services.ResponsibilitiesProvide trauma informed, evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy for residents.Complete Licensed Evaluations (Assessments) to identify the child/youth's behavioral strengths and weaknesses, determine medical necessity to provide/continue services and identify other potential services needed, provide a diagnosis.Develop Treatment Plans describing the child/youth's conditions, detailing the scope of services to be provided, expected outcomes, frequency, and duration of treatment.Provide Crisis Intervention Activities for child/youth experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.Prepare appropriate and timely written documentation of all clinical services delivered in the Electronic Health Record.Work in collaboration with other inter-disciplinary team members. This includes facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings and participating in meetings to discuss the program's needs.Participate in Family Treatment Conferences and intake interviews as needed, as well as meetings dedicated to admissions, transfers, and discharges.Provide therapeutic interventions and/or crisis management as needed.Train other staff in clinically relevant topics and help to create and foster therapeutic milieus based on the PBIS framework.Work Environment:This position will require travel to residential programs and office locations in Yonkers and in the Bronx. Virtual work one day/week is also available.Expected Hours of Work:You must be available to have flexible hours including evenings, shift hours vary depending on the needs of the child and family.QualificationsMaster's degree from accredited program, in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or related area required.Must have one of the following NYS (New York State) Professional Licenses OR have a Limited Permit with one of the below degrees:Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensed PsychoanalystLicensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)Training and at least 2 years of experience in providing therapy/treatment services for at risk youth and families.2 years of experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, evidence-based psychotherapy interventions preferred.Valid New York State Driver's License PreferredBilingual/Spanish PreferredFoster care experience PreferredComputer Proficiency, excellent writing skills to provide accurate and detailed noteJob LocationsUS-NY-BronxPosted Date1 month ago(10/10/2024 4:17 PM)Job ID 2024-2968of Openings 1Category Clinical
