Job Description :
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting & Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software based on specifications from engineers and project managers.
- System Layouts: Develop and update system layouts, schematics, and plans for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings.
- Coordination: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, as well as other disciplines, to ensure coordinated design solutions for the entire project.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain design documents, including as-built drawings, for use in construction and maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure that all drawings meet project-specific standards, applicable codes, and industry regulations.
- Revisions: Update and revise drawings to accommodate design changes, client requests, and field conditions as necessary.
- Collaboration: Participate in project meetings to discuss design changes, project updates, and technical solutions.
- Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy and adherence to the company's quality standards before submission to clients or construction teams.
- Clash Detection: Assist in clash detection and resolution of conflicts between MEP systems using BIM models or CAD tools.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, design technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEP drafting using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software is essential. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as building codes and construction standards.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing technical drawings.
- Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design issues and propose practical solutions.
