Merchandise Planner - clare v. : Job Details

Role: Planner

Reports to: Head of Planning

Location: CV HQ, Los Angeles, CA (Silver Lake)

Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Merchandise Planner. In this role you will run analysis to drive sales, margin and inventory turn while working in close partnerships with many different talented teams - Merchandising, Finance, Production, Marketing, etc. You will anticipate the needs of the business by providing relevant, timely and actionable suggestions supported by your analysis.

Responsibilities

- Assist in developing financial merchandise sales and inventory plans that ensure corporate targets are achieved (by department, by store, by category)

- Analyze weekly/monthly performance of sales, margin, inventory turns against plan and forecast

- Assist in the creation and maintenance of OTB including accurate forecasting of sales, inventory, and receipt plans by category

- Develop seasonal plans by analyzing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities

- Create and manage re-orders by evaluating stock levels and sales forecasts of Core Program

- Partner with Merchandising team to conduct business reviews - highlighting current business trends and opportunities, while developing strategies to account for any variances in business trend vs. plan

- Create and recap Plans for key Annual Promotions and Liquidation strategies

- Continuously innovate to streamline and automate planning function

- Build cross functional and inter-departmental partnerships to execute plans

- Create and update ad hoc business reports and analysis as needed

Skills

3-5 years of experience in Planning, Buying, Inventory management, Financial planning, or similar role

Strong Microsoft Excel Skills -including vlookups and pivot tables

Highly Analytical

Detail Oriented

Strong communication skills

Ability to work productively in a team environment

Ability to meet deadlines

Professional with a positive attitude!
