Job Posting General Description The Merchandise Pricing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day pricing system operations and conducting pricing analyses for in-store categories. This role is embedded within the Merchandising team of Murphy USA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Implement and maintain pricing system to ensure timely and accurate implementation of category price changes. Coordinate with category team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of price execution. 2. Monitor and investigate pricing, rebate, and promotional account variances. Identify and resolve variances to resolve issues. 3. Conduct review and analysis of the cost/retail position of merchandise categories. 4. Respond to pricing opportunities and questions from the sales and operation teams. 5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless execution of pricing processes. 6. Communicate pricing and work with other partners to ensure alignment. 7. Monitor Pricing Compliance and standards to support vendor standards, and comply with Murphy USA policies as well as local, state, and federal policies. 7. Analyze structured and unstructured data to unlock trends and demand patterns. 8. Collect and mine data from unstructured sources. 9. Ensure timeliness and continuous improvement. Complete tasks by assigned deadlines. Communicate effectively. Look for ways to improve processes and coordinate multiple initiatives, deadlines, and responsibilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in business or related areas including computer science, information science, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, marketing, and operations management plus 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 1 year of experience in data analytics, Power BI, and Microsoft office suite. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment. - Strong problem solving and communication skills.
