Job Description :

Under the Supervision of the District Manager, Retail Merchandiser is to promote and actively sell Paradise Beverage and supplier marketing, merchandising and sales programs to On and Off Premise accounts, store chains and other retail accounts in the market area serviced. Assess point-of-sale, advertising and display needs of retailers and arrange for placement. Augments direct sales function by coverage of route deliveries to include direct sales. Occasionally assist with the special events sponsored by the distributorship.

**Responsibilities**

* Merchandiser requires the constant handling of merchandise, travel on the road, drive in different weather conditions,

* Lift and move products, using proper safety practices and equipment at the store chains and other retail accounts

* Attendance at trainings, both on island and neighbor islands, may be required.

* Augments the distributorship's direct sales function by coverage of sales territories as business conditions dictate. This includes direct sales responsibilities in certain circumstances.

* Assess the marketing and merchandising needs of retailers.

* Conducts presentations of available advertising, selling in point-of-sale items to retailers and arranges for order, delivery and possible installation of items.

* Designs displays, warm and cold shelf product arrangements to meet account needs, and communicates the designs locations and number of cases to retailers.

* Monitors and analyzes market conditions to identify opportunities and/or problem areas and makes appropriate recommendations.

* Monitors and reports competitive activity in the trade to the Marketing Manager

* Checks product inventory of retail accounts to insure adequate supply and quality assurance, rotates products as needed.

* Identifies target and/or key accounts in territory and assists in the development of action plans to increase market penetration.

* Assists in the production of customized point-of-sale

* Coordinates the building of displays in retail accounts with sales management and sales representatives. Assume responsibility for the location and merchandising of displays.

* Assume responsibility of open merchandising routes as requested by management.

* Responsible for contacting the Merchandising Supervisor immediately regarding changes in booking slips and/or market task condition.

* Employ proper usage and handling of Paradise Beverages issued equipment and devices.

* Maintain work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner.

* Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices.

* Perform other related merchandiser duties as required or assigned.

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* experience and knowledge of marketing,

* merchandising and promotional techniques and materials.

* Valid Hawaii state drivers license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance required and able to drive to assigned accounts.

* Must be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends, and holidays.

* Able to constant handling of merchandise
