Met Lab Technician - Caterpillar : Job Details

In this role as a Met Lab Technician, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of our products by carrying out advanced analysis projects. What You Will Do (including but not limited to):Perform duties that require special, complex, and highly specialized technical tasks (metallography and metrology) carried out on a variety of applications, in accordance with directives and general procedures. Evaluate, develop, and fine-tune new inspection methods applicable to your specialty. Determine the equipment requirements, and draw up the appropriate procedures. Provide technical assistance to the lower levels and coordinate their activity. Develop general technical results, analyze them, and prepare them for statistical analysis. Discuss any technical problems with the suppliers or departments concerned. Participate in solving them and perform a quality assurance role in your specialist area.
