A Metadata Coordinator is responsible for managing and organizing metadata to ensure accurate and timely publication across platforms. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to maintain metadata quality and consistency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Table of Contents Management: Fact-checking, copyediting, and organizing Table of Contents data from various sources, adhering to specific style guides.
  • Series Relationship Curation: Researching and curating series information for online display, ensuring new releases are correctly associated with existing series or creating new series pages as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in the humanities.
  • Professional experience in proofreading, copyediting, and fact-checking within publishing.
  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Experience in web-based publishing environments.
  • Proficiency with social media and web-based research tools.
  • Understanding of SEO concepts.
  • Technical proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience managing projects and working collaboratively with diverse teams.
