Metal Inspector - Verstela : Job Details

Have 3-6 months of manufacturing experience and looking for a great new job to kick off the new year? You might be interested in this Metal Inspector opening with a local aerospace manufacturer.They make airplane engine parts for some of the most recognizable aerospace companies in the industry. They're located right in Portland, OR, they've been in business for over 80 years and this opportunity is located at their largest campus.As part of the Radiographer team, you'd work with aerospace molds and operate x-ray equipment to take images of metal castings. It's a temporary-to-hire job that offers a full benefits package upon permanent hire, quarterly bonuses, and career growth opportunities.Metal Inspector Job Duties:

• Reviews instructions and requests to accurately set up metal castings for x-ray's to be taken
• Inspects and maintains condition of film by following proper handling techniques
• Operates x-ray machine control panels and equipment to take images of multiple views of castings
• Regularly conducts more than one radiographic examination concurrently, and is expected to be able to operate all machines
• Checks samples of radiographs on each casting for imperfections and flaws and makes changes within customer and PCC specifications
• Records any changes made; reshoots exposure when needed

Schedules:

• Train on a day shift of Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Shift is to be determined once training is completed.

Metal Inspector Requirements:

• 3-6 months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to wear PPE: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be comfortable exercising basic math skills
• Must have High school diploma or GED
