Our client, a leader in the Steel Fabrication, is seeking a Metallurgy Engineer to join their team. As a Metallurgy Engineer, you will be part of the Operations department supporting the Melt Shop team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to safety, and excellentproblem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Metallurgy Engineer

Location:?Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000

What's the Job?

  • Develop and implement area-specific practices that drive world-class performance in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Provide technical assistance to the team and customers, driving solutions in process improvement, product development, and efficiency.
  • Create and facilitate training for the respective area to expand the steelmaking knowledge of the team.
  • Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Metallurgical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in metallurgy or related fields.
  • Prior experience in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and Melt Shop operations is preferred.
  • Strong desire to pursue positions of increased responsibility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
