Meter Service Technician - County of Okaloosa Florida : Job Details

Installs, repairs and maintains water metering devices; connects and disconnects service. EXAMPLES OF WORK - Replaces malfunctioning meters and associated components; ensures the accuracy of readings. - Installs and upgrades new meter sets, meter components, and programs transmitters. - Inspects meters for tampering, malfunctions or operational deficiencies. - Troubleshoots potential meter/transmitter issues. - Repairs water service lines and associated components. - Replaces damaged meter boxes and lids. - Replaces/repairs damaged transmitters and wires. - Locates and uncovers buried meters. - Performs meter testing to ensure accuracy of meter readings. - Assists with backflow prevention assembly inspection/testing. - Evaluates parts/pieces needed to perform large meter exchanges. - Coordinates available material and equipment needed to perform large meter exchanges. - Assists in training and instructing new staff in methods and procedures. - Clears mud and debris from meter cases...Service Technician, Service Tech, Technician, Retail, Repair
