  • Primarily responsible for tool ownership of metrology equipment in a semiconductor fab and lab environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in specifically and not limited to, Spectroscopic Ellipsometry and/or CD-SEM tool operation / ownership.
  • Develops processes related to the upkeep and health of semiconductor metrology equipment including but not limited to: Coordination of engineering tool time, preventative maintenance, equipment monitor / health check, calibration and qualification.
  • Perform troubleshooting, simple maintenance as needed and communicate with the equipment vendor and users for equipment (i.e. recovery) status, etc .
  • Coordinate installation, setup and acceptance of new metrology equipment.
  • Co-work with process development teams to design and execute metrology optimization experiments. Characterizes, compiles, and analyzes test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
  • Provides applications / recipe development support to various groups and business units. May require international travel for technology transfer.
  • Responsible for understanding tool utilization and capabilities including capacity planning.
  • Communication of work / project plans and results to senior management as well as to customers / partners.
Typical Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of related experience; or Master's Degree with 4 years of related experience. Must be legally authorized to work in US without sponsorship.
  • Required: Minimum 2 years experience in operating the latest models of Spectroscopic Ellipsometry and / or CD-SEM equipment. This is the primary tool ownership responsibility of this position.
  • Ability to learn new computer software packages and strong computer networking skills are a significant plus.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
  • The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an hybrid fab/lab and office setting. This role routinely uses semiconductor metrology equipment as well as computers and computer interfaces. This is an active role where donning a cleanroom suit will be done daily. This position occasionally requires 4 to 6 hours in a day at a computer screen/keyboard for data analysis, communication and presentation preparation.
Salary Ranges$86,675.03 - $107,625.05Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
