Volt is immediately hiring for a MFG Equipment Maintenance Tech in Greensboro, NC.

This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift. Willingness to work nights is strongly desired. This position will work 7:00pm - 7:00am 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, repeat.

As a MFG Equipment Maintenance Tech, you will:

* The technician is responsible for performing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment and works closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks

* Work closely with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goals

* Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives and may be required to attend classes, seminars, and vendor training if required

* Required to document all work performed on equipment

* Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities

* This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment

* You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to hazardous processing materials

This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military training required. Rare exceptions for very experienced industry technicians

* 3 or more years' experience in high volume semiconductor environment performing maintenance on AT LEAST ONE of the tools listed below

* Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols

* Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods

* Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required

* Must have solid workplace soft skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must be fluent in English language

* Must be comfortable navigating and operating computers

* Basic familiarity with MS Office programs is a plus

* Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities

* Hands-on participation and strong sense of ownership

* Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment

* Candidate must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 35+ pounds

* Candidate must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching and squatting, etc.

* Candidate must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials

* Candidate must work well both independently and in a team environment

SPECIFIC REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

* We are looking for candidates with experience and strong skills in at least one of the tool families listed below:

* Applied Materials Centura DTM; Lam Alliance Metal and Oxide etch; Lam 2300 Kiyo; Lam Sequel CVD; Lam Vector CVD; Mattson Aspen II Ash; SPTS Etch/CVD.

* Strong RF Troubleshooting experience is highly desired.

* Willingness to work night shift is highly desired

* Ability to edit and author specifications, training materials, and other technical documentation is highly desired

Hourly Pay: $20-26.00/hour. Night shifts have a 13% differential. All shifts have built in Compressed Work Week OT included in the regular schedule.

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
