**Job Summary**

The Microbiologist in the Microbiology Department performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

**Education and/or Experience**

+ Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, biological science, molecular biology or appropriately related field from a regionally accredited college/university is required.

+ A copy of your transcript will need to be submitted for review.

+ Experience/training in microbiology in a clinical laboratory preferred.

**Certification/Licensure/Registrations**

+ Certification as a Technologist in Microbiology, (M) ASCP required within 18 months of hire.

**Work Schedule**

+ Varied Shifts;

+ Rotate every 3rd Weekend & Holiday

+ Full Time; 80hrs/2wks

**Pay**

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

+ $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
