MICROBIOLOGY LAB TECHNICIAN - Actalent : Job Details

Currently hiring a Microbiology Lab Technician for a wide variety of commercial products. The majority of the job is microbiology lab testing. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.

Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm (not much OT but could be at times)

Responsibilities

+ Conduct microbiological testing on commercial products using specific procedures and test standards.

+ Work efficiently with all offices and outside experts to develop proper procedures.

+ Enumerate and count colonies using the plate count technique.

+ Handle and catalog cell cultures, maintaining a frozen library of bacteria and fungi.

+ Design and implement experiments following USP standards.

+ Perform general lab maintenance.

+ Calibrate and identify damaged equipment.

+ Follow sample handling procedures, ensuring proper logging in and out of the system.

+ Move equipment as needed through the facility and properly package samples for shipment.

+ Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout the testing process.

+ Provide ongoing support to clients as needed.

+ Perform other microbiology-related tasks as required.
